" In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory" (Ephesians 1:13-14). In a living creature ( nephesh chayah ), the ruach is the breath, whether of animals (Gen 7:15 Psa 104:25, 29) or mankind (Isa 42:5 Ezek 37:5). In the Tanakh, the word ruach generally means wind, breath, mind, spirit. It is an idea that has always existed and the Bible shows its origins to be in the Creation week. N one of the historic creeds and confessions and none of todays theologies stress adequately five critical points concerning the Spirit of God: the Spirit. Seven is the number of days in a week, a value that has not physical correlation to the sun, moon, and stars. Not in the idea of secret codes, but in representing ideas or concepts.
